Vietnam opposes China fishing ban in East Sea
VN opposes the Chinese Department of Fisheries’ ban on fishing in
the East Sea, a VN' official has said.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Luong Thanh Nghi on May 15 affirmed that
Vietnam opposes the Chinese Department of Fisheries’ ban on fishing in
the East Sea .
His statement was made in response to questions from the press about Vietnam ’s reaction to the department declaring its fishing ban in the East Sea between May 16 and August 1.
“ Vietnam ’s stance on this issue was clearly announced on January 20, Vietnam opposes China ’s unilateral decision and considers this as invalid,” he said.-VNA
