During past years, the multifaceted cooperative relations between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK) have been stepped up significantly in the spirit of strategic partnership, bringing practical benefits for both countries.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung made this statement on Mar. 15 while receiving the RoK Minister for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MIFAFF) Suh Kyo Yong, who is participating in the 31st FAO Conference for the Asia-Pacific, in Vietnam .
Dung spoke highly of the strong cooperation between the RoK MIFAFF and the Vietnam Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
He said he hopes the RoK will continue supporting Vietnam in developing its agriculture, forestry and fisheries through establishing training centres, sharing experience, and transferring technologies, as well as promoting the study and production of bird-flu vaccine.
Suh Kyo Yong affirmed that the RoK will exert more effort in launching cooperative activities, as suggested by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.
The Minister also expressed hope that Vietnam will create more favourable conditions for RoK enterprises to invest in the country, particularly in agroforestry and fish processing.
Minister Suh Kyo Yong committed the RoK to expanding access to its markets, bringing more opportunities for Vietnam ’s agroforestry and aquatic products.
He suggested both countries simplify official procedures relating to import-export activities, creating an easy path for such products to enter each market.-VNA
