Vice Director of the General Politics Department under the Vietnam People’s Army, Lieut. Gen. Luong Cuong on July 5 received Chief of the Republic of Korea (RoK)’s Defence Security Command Army, Lieut. Gen. Bae Deag Sig in Hanoi.
Cuong hailed Bae’s visit, especially at a time when Vietnam and the RoK are preparing activities to mark the 20 th anniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic ties.
It is an important milestone in the two countries’ ties, offering a chance to further promote friendship, cooperation, understanding and mutual trust in the spirit of strategic partnership, Cuong said.
He added that the Vietnamese Defence Ministry praises recent bilateral defence cooperation, such as the exchange of delegations at all levels, personnel training, and holding deputy-ministerial defence dialogues, which have contributed to further strengthening friendship and cooperation between the two armies and nations.
