VN, Slovakia seek to lift defence-based economy

During the talks, Minister Thanh underlined thetime-honoured relations between Vietnam and Slovakia , saying thearmy and people of Vietnam will remember forever the valuablesupport of the Slovakian army and people during the country’s cause ofnational liberation and construction.

Vietnamattaches importance to the cooperative relations with Slovakia innumerous areas, including the national defence-based economy, he said,expressing his hope that the visit by the Slovakian Minister wouldcontribute to stepping up the two countries’ cooperation in the sector.

He also stressed the need for the two countries’armies to carry out exchanges of delegation at different levels to seekcooperation opportunities in training technicians.

For his part, Minister Juraj Miskop said Slovakian defence businessesdesire to work with Vietnamese partners in producing technical equipmentto serve the national defence, natural disasters control, road andbridle building and other areas of mutual concerns./.
