All four members of the Vietnamese team won medals at the 23rd International Biology Olympiad that took place in Singapore from July 7-16.

Nguyen Thu Trang, a 12th grader from Le Hong Phong Senior High School for Gifted Children in the northern province of Nam Dinh, bagged a silver medal.

Three other students, including Nguyen Thi Hai Anh, a 11 th grader from the northern province of Vinh Phuc, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hong, a 12th grader from Hanoi and Tran Duc Huy, a 12 th grader from Nam Dinh northern province, won bronze medals.

The 23rd International Biology Olympiad attracted around 234 candidates from 63 countries and territories worldwide.

At previous events, the Vietnamese team took four bronze medals in 2009, two silver medals in 2010 and three bronze medals and a certificate in 2011.-VNA
