Vietnam 's national football squad will meet the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea ( DPRK ) in the Millennium Thang Long-Hanoi Football Cup on Sept . 24.

The DPRK will send a 22-member squad, including 14 who played at the World Cup in South Africa in June.

The DPRK team will feature eight key players including goalie Ri Myong-guk; defenders Pak Chol-jin, Nam Song-chol; midfielders Kim Yong-jun and Pak Nam-chol, Kim Kum Il and Mun In-guk; and striker Choe Kum-chol.

Vietnam will also play against U-23 teams from Australia and Kuwait during the tournament that runs from September 20 to 24.

The hosts will meet Kuwait in their opening game on Sept. 20 before taking on Australia two days later.

The winning squad will walk away with 20,000 USD cash, while the second and third place squads will pocket 10,000 USD and 5,000 USD.

The Millennium Cup's tickets, which cost from 40,000 VND (2 USD) to 120,000 VND (6 USD), will go on sale in Hanoi on Sept 17.

The Vietnam Football Federation and Thai Son Group signed sponsorship deal on Sept. 13./.
