The Vietnam women's football team will meet Iran in the second round of the London 2012 Olympic qualifiers at King Abdullah Stadium in Jordan on June 6.

The team, who qualified from first round last month, will also play Jordan, Uzbekistan and Thailand in a tough group.

The five teams will compete in a round-robin format.

The top team will get a berth in the final round with China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, the Democratic people’s Republic of Korea and Australia, from which the top two will qualify for the London Olympics next year.

Vietnam have won the Southeast Asian Games four times, but the team has never qualified for an Olympic Games since the country made its debut at the Moscow Olympics in 1980./.
