Vietnam’s national women’s football team remain world No. 34, according to the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA)’s latest rankings.

The team made an impressive jump to fourth place in the 17th Asian Games in September in Incheon, the Republic of Korea.

With 1,630 points, Vietnam ranked second in the Southeast Asian region. World No. 31 Thailand took the lead with 1,651 points while world No. 44 Myanmar came third with 1,530 points.

In Asia, Vietnam ranked seventh. Japan took the lead with 2,084 points, followed by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea with 1,981 points and Australia with 1,957 points.

In the world rankings, Germany took the top spot, with the US second and France third.-VNA
