The Vietnam News Agency (VNA) and DailyMotion, a French video sharing website, have discussed opportunities and prospects for internet media cooperation.

Visiting VNA Director General Tran Mai Huong held a working session with DailyMotion’s General Director Édric Tournay in Paris on July 11.

The two parties compared notes on capacity and measures to enhance multi-media cooperation to promote the VNA’s information products, such as television (VNews), the e-newspaper Vietnamplus and other newspapers like Vietnam News, Le Courrier du Vietnam and Vietnam Pictorial, in France as well as other countries worldwide.

The VNA chief spoke highly of ideal and initiatives for cooperation proposed by DailyMotion, saying the Vietnamese version launched by DailyMotion would serve as another information channel helping foreign readers and the Overseas Vietnamese community gain access to the VNA’s products.

Since June, 2011, the VNA Television Centre had been sending its broadcast programmes to DailyMotion.

For his part, Édric Tournay held that the VNA, especially the television centre, would become an information provider across multiple platforms, in different fields ranging from politics to culture, society and sports.

He committed to boosting media cooperation with the VNA and working as a bridge that linked the VNA with DailyMotion’s partners.
