The Vietnam News Agency (VNA) and the Government Inspectorate signed an agreement on collaboration in a communication programme on inspections, receiving citizens, handling complaints and corruption prevention and control on June 10.

The programme allows both sides to exchange information and popularise news on issues related to State management of the Government Inspectorate through VNA media products.

Addressing the signing ceremony, Inspector General Huynh Phong Tranh said the expansion of cooperation between the two sides aims to provide information on the Government Inspectorate’s activities to the community in a timely, thorough and rapid manner. The deal will serve as an important legal foundation for the two sides, he added.

He pledged that the Government Inspectorate will stay active in providing information to the VNA fully, timely and accurately.

For his part, VNA General Director Nguyen Duc Loi said news on inspection, receiving citizens, handling complaints and corruption prevention and control have been an important part of the VNA’s media products.

He said he hopes information provided by the Government Inspectorate and its bodies will help the community access accurate and updated policies from the sector.

The VNA leader also suggested the Government Inspectorate open short training courses for VNA reporters to help them gain professional knowledge on sector activities.

He also pledged that the VNA is ready to help the Government Inspectorate’s media body enhance their journalism capacity while setting up a media link between the two sides to facilitate rapid information exchange.

On the occasion, the VNA leader presented Inspector General Tranh with an insignia in recognition of his contributions to the growth of the VNA.-VNA
