General Director of the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) Nguyen Duc Loi has paid respect to fallen soldiers at the Truong Son and Road 9 National Cemeteries in the central province of Quang Tri on the occasion of the Day for War Martyrs (July 27).
As part of his trip, the VNA leader held a working session with Quang Tri province’s officials on July 21, during which he presented the insignia “For the development of the Vietnam News Agency” to Le Huu Phuc, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Nguyen Duc Cuong, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee in recognition of their support for VNA’s operation.
General Director Loi asked the local administration to continue creating favourable condition for VNA correspondents based in the province to fulfil their tasks.
The VNA runs a network of correspondents in all 63 provinces and cities of the country as well as 30 overseas bureaus.
Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Le Huu Phuc spoke highly of the role of the VNA and its bureau in Quang Tri in particular as an official news provider of the Party, State and Government.-VNA
