General Director of the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) Nguyen Duc Loi on September 16 received Rolando Alfonso Borgesa, head of the Ideological Department of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party.
At the reception, VNA General Director Loi briefed his guest on the development of his agency over the past nearly seven decades, saying that the VNA has affirmed its role and position as a prestigious news agency in the region.
He added that the VNA now partners with 40 news agencies in the world and is looking towards the establishment of a reliable and effective national multi-media cluster in the coming time.
Expressing his pleasure at the fine development of the relationship between the VNA and Cuban news agencies over the past time, the General Director said the two sides have set up a positive cooperation by signing many agreements on information exchange and human resources training.
For his part, the Cuban guest expressed his wish that the two sides further tighten their fraternal cooperation in press and increase the exchange of experience in the application of information technology in the popularisation of policies and laws of each side’s Party and State.-VNA
