Vietnam’s ambassador to Canada Le Sy Vuong Ha on April 28 presented his credentials to the country’s Governor General Michaelle Jean.
Talking with the Vietnamese ambassador after the presenting ceremony, Governor General Michaelle spoke highly of Vietnam’s socio-economic achievements during its renewal and integration process while expressing her delight at the fruitful development of the friendship and cooperative relations between the two countries.
She said she believed that as French-speaking nations, Vietnam and Canada will have more opportunities to extend and further develop their bilateral ties in the future.
Ambassador Ha thanked Canadian government and people for supporting the Vietnamese people during its wars of resistance in the past as well as the current process of national construction and integration.
The Vietnamese diplomat also expressed his pleasure at the multi-faceted development in the bilateral relations, pledging greater efforts to contribute to bolstering friendship and cooperative ties between the two countries./.
