The Guinness World Records on September 25 recognised a jigsaw mind map with an image of the Vietnamese map as the largest and most pieces in the world.

The map was assembled manually from 551,232 pieces by 1,600 students and 200 volunteers of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics. It spreads out over an area of 660 square metres.

The work takes the form of a pink lotus with six petals, each of which represents a specific field of Vietnam: human beings, geography, history, culture, education and economy.

The jigsaw creation broke the Guinness World Record held earlier by Singapore with 212,323 pieces in 2002 and by China with its 600 square metre map./.
