The VTV4 television channel, a unit of Vietnam Television, will air in Cambodia from Aug. 15, in an effort to bring VTV programmes to Vietnamese nationals.

The agreement to launch the service was signed between Vietnam Television and Cambodia ’s Royal Media Entertainment Corporation on Aug. 7, under which, VTV4’s programmes will cover up to 70 percent of Cambodia ’s territory.

The two sides also agreed to broadcast programmes in the Khmer language to serve those who are speaking the language in daily life.
