The Vietnam National
Administration of Tourism (VNAT) and the Ba Ria-Vung Tau Department of
Culture, Sports and Tourism are co-organising the event.
Vung Tau has been chosen as the first place to launch a nationwide campaign to protect the environment, in particular of the nation’s long coastline, in order to achieve sustainable sea tourism development, according to VNAT officials.
A public parade and cleaning up of trash at sea tourism sites as well as on main roads are some of the activities being organised during the event,.
Local authorities will cooperate with social organisations to popularise the law on environmental protection and waste management. Citizens will also receive guidance on measures to treat waste.
