Binh Duong (VNA) – Police of the southern province of Binh Duong have arrested Lu Te Chiang from Taipei (China) who was hunted for illegally possessing guns and bullets.

The provincial Police’s immigration management division on October 16 found Lu when he was hiding in a restaurant in Bau Bang street, Lai Uyen commune, Bau Bang district.

In 2010, Taipei’s Nantou city court handed down a 43-month jail sentence to Lu Te Chiang for illegal storing guns and bullets. Lu evaded serving the sentence and escaped to Vietnam. A wanted order was issued for Lu in the same year.

Binh Duong police are coordinating with the Immigration Department under the Ministry of Public Security to process necessary procedures to hand over Lu Te Chiang to the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City.-VNA
