War martyrs, invalids remembered nationwide

The Deputy PM was accompanied by Minister of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs Pham Thi Hai Chuyen and leaders of Ho Chi Minh City and the Vietnam People’s Navy.

Speaking with the families, Deputy PM Nhan encouraged them to surpass difficulties to stabilise their lives and actively take part in activities in their localities.

The Party and State always remember contributions made by families of war invalids and martyrs and pay attention to improving their living standards, he affirmed.

The same day, young people in the capital city of Hanoi had a chance to hear moved stories told by veterans at an art exchange themed “Sacred Vietnam”.

The programme, which took place at the Au Co Arts Centre, was jointly held by the Labour and Society Newspaper, the Vietnam Television, Vietnam Event and Communication Company and Phu An Information-Culture JSC.
 
Through documentary films and artistic performances, the exchange highlighted the unyielding and courageous spirit of the land and people of Vietnam during the fight against foreign invaders.

The organising board has presented part of its proceeds to the fund “For the Beloved Truong Sa Archipelago” to support officials, soldiers and people in Truong Sa island district and DK1 marine platform.-VNA
