A large quantity of war-time unexploded ordnances (UXO) has been found in the central highlands of Kon Tum.
According to the provincial sappers force, the ammunition includes detonators, bullets, mines and a rocket.
Major Nguyen Hoai Son, head of the provincial sappers force, said the UXO was left by the US troops during the war in Vietnam. “We will our search in the area until safety can be guaranteed.”
The UXO was found on June 30 by workers who are building a project at the provincial military headquarters./.
