WB helps boost small production in Lam Dong

Farmers in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong will benefit from a 8.5 million USD project funded by the World Bank to help them raise the competitive edge of their small-sized production.
Farmers in the Central Highlandsprovince of Lam Dong will benefit from a 8.5 million USD project fundedby the World Bank to help them raise the competitive edge of theirsmall-sized production.

The provincial authorities on March 15 announced that between2010-2015, Lam Dong province will develop 15-20 joint establishments inagricultural production between farmers and enterprises and willprovide 5,000 farmers with training on new cultivation methods.

Under the project, 30 percent of farmers are expected to apply clean and safe production model in the future./.

First “green lane” durian shipment exported to China

​Under the “green lane” process, quality control begins at the cultivation stage, including soil sampling and monitoring, and continues through harvesting and processing, with traceability labels attached to trees and applied to fruit at the time of picking. It also allows plant quarantine procedures and the issuance of certificates of origin (C/O) directly in the localities where the orchards are located.
