WHO award for Vietnamese expert

The World Health Organization (WHO) has honoured Dr Ly Ngoc Kinh, Former Chief of Vietnam Steering Committee on Smoking and Health for his efforts in controlling the use of tobacco in Vietnam.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has honoured Dr Ly Ngoc Kinh, Former Chief of Vietnam Steering Committee on Smoking and Health for his efforts in controlling the use of tobacco in Vietnam.

Kinh was presented with the “World No Tobacco Day 2011” award in recognition of his great contributions to the campaign in ratifying the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC) in Vietnam and helped draft the National Action Plan for Implementation of the WHO FCTC, which issued in 2009, WHO said in its citation./.
