Japanese coach Norimatsu Takashi on April 15 called up 27 players who impressed him during the first leg of the national championships in Ho Chi Minh City last month.
Hanoi 1 and HCM City, who were on song at the tournament, account for eight players each.
Phong Phu Ha Nam will send seven while the rest come from Vietnam Coal and Minerals and TNG Thai Nguyen.
The team will practise in Hanoi for about 10 days before moving to HCM City for the second stage of the training campaign. The regional championships will be held from May 1-10 in the city.-VNA
