Work on the construction of a housing complex got underway on September 8 in Ho Chi Minh city by the Daewon- Thu Duc House Development Joint Stock Company, a joint venture between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea .

The Cantavil house complex is being built on an area of 11,200 sq. m in the city’s eastern gateway of An Phu ward, District 2 with a total investment of 47 million USD.

The complex includes 200 high-end flats and offices for rent which will be located in two towers of 36 storeys and a space of 30,000 sq. m for an international trade centre plus recreational area, cinema and a swimming pool.

The complex is the second phase of the Cantavil-Premier project. In the first phase, 390 high-end flats were erected in An Phu ward.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Chun Young Woo, President of the Daewon Group, said that the project is expected to be completed by 2012 and his company will make all efforts to ensure the pace of construction.

The Daewon Group is working with other Vietnamese partners to deploy a series of housing development projects in Ho Chi Minh city , Ha Noi and Da Nang./.
