Attending the groundbreaking ceremony for the pagoda were leaders of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Government Committee for Religious Affairs and representatives of various departments and sectors.
The 21,5-hectare pagoda is built close to the Tan Thanh border gate at the cost of 530 billion VND, donated by businesses, benefactors, Buddhist followers and overseas Vietnamese.
The construction project covers 17 works, including a healthcare centre for the elderly, the disabled and disadvantaged children./.
