Work on construction of a four-star hotel, the first of its kind in Thanh Hoa city, Thanh Hoa province, began on Aug. 26 at a cost of 410 billion VND (22.96 million USD).

The project, invested by the PetroVietnam Finance Land JSC (PVFCLand), is expected to finish within two and a half years.

Also the same day, the central province officially transferred the operation of the Nghi Son port to the Petroleum Technical Services Corporation (PTSC).

Under a signed contract, the PTSC will manage and exploit wharves 1 and 2 of the Nghi Son port with a combined capacity of 1.6-2 million tonnes a year and continue investing in the port’s infrastructure in the next phase.

The Nghi Son port, located in the Nghi Son Economic Zone of Thanh Hoa province, is a deep sea-port with over 10 planned quays, capable of receiving 50,000-tonne ships and handling more than 10 million tonnes of goods a year.

Also, the PTSC has bought Hon La port in central Quang Binh province for use and investment in phase 2./.
