Construction on a 1.5 trillion VND (65.21 million USD) clean water plant began in the northern province of Bac Giang on July 14.

Bac Giang (VNA) – Construction on a 1.5 trillionVND (65.21 million USD) clean water plant began in the northern province of BacGiang on July 14.

The project is divided into two stages with the first onefrom 2016-2018 and the second from 2020-2022. The respective capacities will be19,500 cu.m and 59,000 cu.m per day and night.

Once operational in late 2018, the DNP-Bac Giang plant willsupply water to Lang Giang district, urban areas in the south and southwest ofBac Giang city, Noi Hoang and Huong Gian communes in Yen Dung district, VanTrung commune in Viet Yen district, concentrated industrial zones and clustersand nearby areas.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Chairman of theprovincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Linh asked the DNP-Bac Giang Companyto continue working closely with local authorities to offer site clearancecompensation and speed up the progress of the project in line with legal regulations.-VNA
