Work starts on Vietnam-invested hotel in Laos

The Saigon Invest Group (SGI) has started work on the construction of the SGI Lao Hung hotel, the first of its kind rated three stars in Huaphanh province, eastern Laos.
The Saigon Invest Group (SGI) has started work on the construction ofthe SGI Lao Hung hotel, the first of its kind rated three stars inHuaphanh province, eastern Laos.

SGI Lao Hung Hotelis located on an area of 5,642 sq.m in Sam Neua district, next to theSGI-funded " Sam Neua Pearl Tower " monument, according to thecompany’s website.

The hotel is being built at a cost of 3 million USD and expected to be the largest hotel in the province when it is operational.

The1,300 sq.m project consists of bedrooms, restaurants, commercial andoffice spaces and a meeting hall. It is expected to be complete in 2013,meeting increasing demand for recreational facilities in the region.

Theproject is also expected to contribute significantly to developing SamNeua’s infrastructure, improving living conditions for its people andspeeding up local economic development.

The SGI is one of theleading groups in Vietnam , operating in many sectors including realestate-infrastructure development, telecommunications and informationtechnology, broadcasting, finance and banking, tourism, education,manufacture and construction, and energy and mining.

The SGI Lao Hung hotel is the initial step of the SGI’s long-term investment strategy in Laos./.
