Hanoi (VNA) – Works by nearly 70 elderly painters are being displayed at the fine arts exhibition house at No. 16 on Ngo Quyen street in Hanoi.

Chairman of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association Luong Xuan Doan said the event, held from October 13 to 22, marks the reopening of the exhibition centre after the social distancing period.

It is an annual activity organised in celebration of the International Day for Older Persons (October 1) and in honour of the elderly painters, who still devote themselves to creating precious artworks despite their age.

Themed “Hallmark 2021”, the display features nearly 100 paintings and sculptures that haven’t been unveiled or just been created this year.
