The workshop, the second of its kind, is intended to continue thedialogue between Vietnam and Africa, said the Foreign Affairs Ministry'sWestern Asia - Africa Department director Nguyen Van Doan.
"It is also a chance to assess economic cooperation and devicepolicies and breakthrough measures to make it more sustainable andeffective," he said.
Delegates would discuss foodsecurity, agricultural co-operation, poverty reduction, trade,investment and the development of labour for economic recovery.
More than 30 international delegations have confirmed their intention to attend.
The first workshop was held in Hanoi in 2003. Vietnam has commercial links with all 54 African nations.
Trade turnover between Vietnam and Africa increased from 360 millionUSD in 2003 to 2 billion USD in 2008, double the target set in the2004-10 action plan./.
