The famous icon from the sport’s world will be in the country for three days.
The trophy has been awarded to the winners of the World Cup since 1974.
The trophy cup was brought to the Caravelle Hotel for a press conference, where the organizers of the tour announced the trophy’s itinerary in Vietnam .
Today, Vietnamese football fans will have a chance to take commemorative photos with the golden trophy.
The trophy will travel through 86 countries and Vietnam is the second stop on the icon’s international tour entitled “FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour”.
The 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa kicks off on June 11./.
