Vietnam’s Under-16 tennis team have earned a ticket to the Asia/Oceania final qualifying round of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) World Junior Tennis.
The result came after the boys beat Pakistan 3-0 in the final at the Junior David Cup event which came to an end on March 9 at the Sarawak Lawn Tennis Centre in Kuching, Malaysia.
The team of Nguyen Dac Tien, Nguyen Minh Tri and Nguyen Mau Vinh Quang previously beat Syria in the semi-finals and Turkmenistan in the quarter-finals after topping the group with victories over Iraq and Syria.
The trio defeated all their opponents at the same score of 3-0.
The final qualifying round will take place at Shepparton city, Australia, from April 8-13.-VNA
