World N°10 Tien Minh to compete in Korea Open

Vietnamese world No 10 ranked Nguyen Tien Minh will compete at the upcoming Victor Korean Open badminton tournament in Seoul.
Vietnamese world No 10 ranked Nguyen Tien Minh will compete at theupcoming Victor Korean Open badminton tournament in Seoul.

According to the draw, Tien Minh will play Hong Kong's Hu Yun in themen's singles first match during the January 7-12 tournament. Hu isranked N°11 in the world.

In their seven previous meets, Hu has won four matches.

The Open is a competition sponsored by the Superseries system of theBadminton World Federation, which provides 600,000 USD to the winners.

Last year, Tien Minh was eliminated during the firstround of competition by Wong Wing Ki, also from Hong Kong. Minh retiredin the third set when the score was 14-21, 21-12, 12-18.-VNA

Hanoi launches project to build cultural industry hub in Old Quarter

The project, covering about 3,862sqm. at 17 Nguyen Thien Thuat and 40 Thanh Ha, includes around 2,317sqm. of construction area. It will renovate existing structures, improve architecture and landscaping, upgrade technical infrastructure and create spaces for cultural, artistic and creative activities.
