A delegation of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association has paid a working visit to South Africa to seek cooperative opportunities and boost friendship between the two sides.

The Vietnamese delegation, headed by Vo Van Thuong, First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, was received by President of the South African National Youth Committee A. Lungisa who described the visit as a good opportunity for the two sides to exchange experiences in economic development and trade.

The Vietnamese side talked about the role of Vietnamese young people in national construction and development and contributions by young entrepreneurs to the country.

Thuong expressed his wish that the young people of Vietnam and South Africa would find opportunities for cooperation, investment and trade in order to encourage warm relations between the two countries.

The Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association and the South African Business Association signed a memorandum of understanding to this effect.

During the visit, the Vietnamese delegation attended a working session with the South African National Agency for Youth Development, the Pretoria Economic Development Agency and the Cape Town Trade Agency. They worked in the fields of furniture production, garments and textiles, fine arts and handicrafts, seafood, agriculture, food and foodstuffs.

A seminar entitled “Vietnam-South Africa Cooperation and Trade Promotion Forum” was also held./.
