Vietnam on Nov. 5 confirmed the latest fatality of A/H1N1 flu, which was the 39 th since the disease hit the country.

The victim was a 32-year-old man from Lac Son district in the northern province of Hoa Binh. He showed signs of fever, cough and sore throat and treated himself at home for two days with a self-prescription. After arriving in southern Tay Ninh province to visit a relative his conditions worsened and the man was diagnosed with an A/H1N1 flu virus-related pneumonia on October 23. Two days later, he was confirmed to be positive for A/H1N1 flu virus. Despite intensive treatment with Tamiflu, antibiotics with the support of breathing aid device, the man died on November 3.

By the end of November 5, hospitals in Vietnam reported to have treated 10,665 A/H1N1 patients and already discharged 10,402 of them./.
