The fourth ASEAN-China Young Entrepreneurs’ Forum took place in Hanoi on Oct. 14, providing an opportunity for young entrepreneurs to exchange information and seek partners.

The annual forum focused on discussing the action programme of the ASEAN-China Young Entrepreneurs’ Association (ACYEA) in 2012, which aims to boost cooperative activities among young entrepreneurs and enhance economic ties between ASEAN and China.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Quoc Khanh said that China is one of Vietnam’s most important trade partners, with two-way trade exceeding 27 billion USD in 2010, while ASEAN nations have close relations with Vietnam.

Therefore, the hosting of the event in Vietnam was a positive move for Vietnamese businesses in international economic integration, he said.

ACYEA Vice President Chen Yong Dong affirmed that the forum helped strengthen friendship and boost economic development in regional countries.

Two-way trade between ASEAN and China reached 190 billion USD in 2010, up 35 percent over the previous year./.
