Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam have sent 40 athletes to take part in the Vietnam F2 Men’s Futures in Binh Duong Province.

Most of them will compete in the qualifications against other international rivals beginning August 1. The eight best competitors will then advance to the main round.

Ly Hoang Nam and Nguyen Hoang Thien are two Vietnamese who will compete in the main round on August 2.

Earlier, Nam, Thien, as well as all the Vietnamese, failed to win in the F1 tournament, which closed on July 31.

The men’s singles match No 1 Hong Seong Chan of the Republic of Korea beat Indian Rishab Afarwal 6-1, 6-2 to take the title.

Duo Christopher Rungkat and David Agung Susanto of Indonesia won the doubles event, defeating Japan’s Gengo Kikuchi and Shunrou Takeshima 6-3, 6-1.-VNA
