Bomb weighing 450kg found in Hung Yen
A bomb weighing about 450kg was removed from a field in Kim Dong district in the northern province of Hung Yen, the provincial Military Command said on December 16.

The 1.82m-long bomb was found one metre underground in Mieu Nha village, Song Mai commune when a local farmer family dug a pond to raise fish. It is of the MK-83 type and believed to be dropped by US military in around 1972.
The local defence forces have moved the bomb safely to the shooting range of the provincial Command for detonation.
Recently, dozens of bombs and artillery shells have been unearthed and safely destroyed in the districts of Tien Lu, Kim Dong, Van Giang in Hung Yen.-VNA
