Representatives of 31 political parties from 19 European countries, along with senior officials from the Communist Party of China (CPC) attended the event.
The forum, themed “New Opportunities and Prospects for China-Europe Cooperation” was scheduled to focus on fostering cooperation and studying and discussing development policies, as well as enhancing awareness and mutual trust between China and Europe .
Addressing the opening ceremony, Member of Chinese Politburo and Head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, Liu Yunshan said that strengthening dialogue and promoting cooperation between political parties in various areas was a common mission for further development.
He expressed his hope that delegates would exert themselves to contribute to boosting mutual benefit cooperation and development between the sides./.
