technology began production in HCM City late last week.
The Tan Ky Nguyen Block Brick Joint Stock Company plant has a capacity of 100,000 cu.m a year, producing soft concrete blocks called a-blocks, using sand, cement, gypsum and lime.
E-blocks are 15 percent lighter than the usual concrete blocks and cut costs for the builder by 10 percent, company president Phan Hoai Thanh said.
They sell for 1.5 million VND (78 USD) per cubic metre./.
