The Central Highlands province of Dak Nong has handed over a vocational secondary school to Cambodia’s Mondulkiri province to enhance the two sides’ friendship and solidarity.

Construction of the school started in 2009. It was funded by the province with total capital of 24 billion VND (1.14 million USD).

With 56 classrooms, it will provide lessons and vocational training to Mondulkiri students.

The school helps meet the Cambodian province’s demand for education and economic development.

Dak Nong has implemented numerous programmes to support Mondulkiri. It has helped Mondulkiri farmers grow 40 hectares of sweet potato and offered free healthcare services.

Recently, the province completed the electric transmission line from Tuy Duc district to Cambodia’s Bu Prang border gate, which partly satisfies the Cambodian city of Senmonorom’s demand for electricity.-VNA
