HCM City (VNA) – Police of Ho Chi Minh City and Tay Ninh province have recently brought into light a five-member ring trafficking in drugs from Cambodia into Vietnam.

They seized 17 cakes of heroin – about 5.7 kilograms, 12,000 USD and 5 billion VND (222,500 USD).

The ringmaster was identified as Nguyen Van Phu, 51, who is residing in Ward 12, District 10 of Ho Chi Minh City.

Phu’s accomplices are Nguyen Kim Phuong, Nguyen Thi Diem and Tran Thanh Cuong in Ho Chi Minh City and Dang Hoang Lam from the Mekong delta province of Ben Tre.
