The diplomat, the first Vietnamese ambassador to the country, made the remarks while presenting his credentials to Equatorial Guinea President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo in Malabo.
Extending the regards of President Truong Tan Sang and Vietnamese leaders to the host President, Ambassador Khoa congratulated Equatorial Guinea on its achievements in socio-economic development and external relations expansion.
President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo said his country admires Vietnam’s victory in the past struggle for independence as well as the success that it has gained in national construction and development.
He said that Equatorial Guinea hopes that Vietnam, with its current position, will further boost economic cooperation with the country in both bilateral and South-South cooperation frameworks.
This will make positive contributions to the implementation of the 2020 Vision of the Equatorial Guinea Government to make the country an newly – emerging nation, he said.-VNA
