More than 660 businesses have been awarded for their impressive products following a three-month poll conducted by the Business Association of High-Quality Vietnamese Goods.

The poll was based on the results of a survey conducted among16,000 households and individuals in 12 cities and provinces nationwide. At the same time, the association also delivered 3,000 questionnaires to retailers at markets, supermarkets and outlets.

This is the first time businesses operating in fresh flowers and vegetables have participated in the event. Among the winners, many work in farm produce and specialties of traditional trade villages.

Van Minh Thang, head of the poll’s organising board, said at a meeting with first winners on January 6 that the firms in the list selected by consumers will not have to pay any fee, asking them to send documents on their operation to the organising board to be officially recognised.

He added that the board will also partner with departments and branches of localities where the businesses headquarter to ensure the transparency of information.

As many as 403 firms won the recognition last year, with most of them operating in sauces, non-alcoholic beverages, drugs, instant foods and plastic products.-VNA
