The five foreign teams include Thailand’s U23 volleyball team, the Philippine volleyball team, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea volleyball team and the Lianing and Nanjing volleyball teams, both of which are from China.
As released at a news conference held on July 20 in Hanoi, the tournament will take place from July 25 to August 1 in the Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu.
Vietnam will play the Philippines in the opening match on July 25 at the Bac Lieu sports gymnasium.
The tournament is an annual event held since 2004. Vietnam won last year’s event after beating Thailand 3-1.-VNA
