Media company DC was reported by the Thanh Nien (Young People) newspaper as saying that five former players of the English Premier League clubs including Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke – the two champions of the Euro Champions League in 1999, Bryan Robson, Ian Rush and John Barne will join the match.
Former Liverpool players to play in Hanoi include Dominic Matteo, Stan Collymore and Patrick Berger.
The two matches, to take place on November 19 and 20, are part of the Masters 2009 – a friendship football event that will be jointly organised by the Media company DC and the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).
