The German-based industrial gas producer Messer expects to increase its supply for the Vietnamese food industry and seek cooperation in producing E5 petrol in the country.

The firm’s ambition was shared during a recent meeting between its director board and Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan in Frankfurt on September 15, reported the Sai Gon Giai phong newspaper.

At the meeting, Quan said Messer’s intention of E5 petrol production holds great potential as the Vietnamese Government is promoting the use of bio fuels.

Authorities of the Vietnamese southern hub is willing to support the group’s investment in the city, Quan noted, proposing Messer provide scholarships for students majoring in industrial gas at the Vietnam-Germany University.

Entering Vietnam since 1997, the 117-year-old Messer has thus far established its factories in localities across the country such as Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Binh Phuoc, Ba Ria-Vung Tau.

Its products have reached the local sectors of electronics, food processing, steel, motorbike manufacturing and waste water treatment.-VNA
