HCM City (VNA) – The 25-storey German House project, which is located at the centre of District 1 in the southern economic hub of Ho Chi Minh City, will welcome the first guests on September 5.

While inspecting the progress of the project on August 30, Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan said the house will contribute to promoting the connectivity between German businesses and other foreign partners in Vietnam.

He praised the German Consulate General and business community in HCM City for enhancing the relations between the two countries, including cooperation projects on vocational training and business promotion, and dialogue programmes.

German Consul General to HCM City Andeas Siegel said the German House is a symbol of the Vietnam-Germany strategic partnership and friendship at present and in the future.

The project will help German enterprises embrace links with partners from ASEAN, he added.

He pledged to continue oraganising activities to boost people-to-people and business exchanges in the coming time.

Covering about 40,000 square metres, the house is expected to become a venue for Vietnamese and German businesspeople as well as European and ASEAN entrepreneurs.-VNA
