Beginning operation since the early 2020, the four-billion-VND Homestay Sky View Khanh Dinh has been continuously battered by COVID-19. In a bid to maintain operation, its owner decided to plant orchard in an area of nearly 3,000 square metres.

For large tourism companies like H’Mong Village, they have suffered greater loss due to huge investment. All customers of H’Mong Village have cancelled their bookings since the fourth wave of COVID-19. The Village, built at a total cost of nearly 3.5 million USD, was hit hard by the pandemic right after it was put into operation in 2020.

Due to COVID-19, cultural, sport and tourism events in Ha Giang were cancelled in the first half of the year, critically affecting business of travel firms and lodging facilities.
