Japan will provide 101,158 USD in aid for a project to build a primary school in My Son commune in the central province of Nghe An’s Do Luong district.

The signing ceremony for the grant was held in Hanoi on March 24.

At the ceremony, Japanese Ambassador Yasuaki Tanizaki said “I hope that this project will improve primary school education of My Son commune, the friendship and mutual understanding between Japan and Vietnam will be further deepened.”

The People’s Committee of My Son commune planned to build a two-storey school building with eight classrooms and renovate the old building, built in 1962, in order to create a positive learning environment, reduce class sizes and improve primary education in the commune.

On the same day, a grassroots grant assistance contract for upgrading Thanh Hoa Industry Technical Vocational School funded by the government of Japan was also signed in Hanoi./.
