At a reception for the visiting Lao Deputy Prime Minister on June 23, Chairman of HCM City People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan said the city is willing to share its experience and provide support to Laos in devising policies on developing the knowledge-based economy, science-technology, software and agriculture.
He added that the municipal authority will create favourable conditions for Laos to visit and study hi-tech development models in the city, such as the Hi-tech Park in District 9, the Hi-tech Agricultural Zone in Cu Chi district and the Quang Trung Software Park in District 12.
For his part, the Lao Deputy PM emphasised that the frequent exchange of visits and meetings between the two nations’ leaders shows the close relationship between Vietnam and Laos .
He said as Laos has joined the World Trade Organisation and is promoting integration into the ASEAN, the country has made it an urgent task to develop science-technology and improve goods quality control.-VNA
